Since it’s been awhile and this blog has changed so much, I thought I’d take some time to tell you a little more about myself – who I am, what I do for work and what this blog is all about!
For starters, I’ve had this blog since 2013. I guess you could say it’s been a passion project of mine for some time now and although I’ve taken a few hiatuses from the world of blogging, I’ve never forgotten about it. It’s certainly changed over the years, I even shared some of the ways it’s changed since 2013 in a post here (you wouldn’t believe some of the wacky things we used to do!).
But the thing that always has me coming back is the fun I have creating content (for both my site and social media), working with brands, keeping up to date with marketing and honestly, just connecting with others!
So with that, here’s 10 random facts about me to help any new friends or old returning friends get to know me better in the here and now!
10 Random Facts About Me
- I’m a 30-something year old mama and wife with a love for decorating our little home in Massachusetts. We bought our townhome almost 4 years ago! It’s a 1980’s gem that had forest green carpet all throughout the main floor when we bought it
- If asked to describe my “style” I guess I would say it’s a mixed bag! I decorate how I like (farmhouse inspired, a little bit traditional, some mixed boho/vintage)
- Fleetwood Mac & red wine on a Friday night is my kinda party
- I’ve worked full time in marketing for 6+ years and love it! My expertise is in branding, social media and content management (I love to “talk shop” so feel free to reach out if you ever need someone to bounce ideas off of!)
- Before COVID-19, I had taken on a new role as a Marketing Director for a large travel agency and prior to that, worked as a Brand Manager for an automotive company
- I started blogging when I was 25 and bored with the day to day of my current job. It quickly became a favorite pastime of mine and I learned so much about digital marketing in the process. Now that I’m home, I’ve been having fun reviving it! The topics have changed of course, you’ll mainly find ideas and tips for your home decor, motherhood and other lifestyle posts here
- I’m close with my family and have a great group of girl friends I’ve known since I was in elementary school (going on 25+ years of friendship!)
- You can always find peanut butter in our house (IDK why we have so many jars)
- My standard coffee order is a medium French vanilla iced coffee (shot, not swirl) with skim milk and two Splenda. ALWAYS iced, never hot!
- I have an Instagram page now for this blog (ourlittlehomestyle), you’ll find me active daily on there sharing home projects, decor and of course, motherhood!

i do have girlfriends from middle school, not as close as I want because we live in different countries now, but still in touch!
